MLS suspends Segares for additional game
September 9, 2010Chicago Fire defender Gonzalo Segares' suspension has been doubled to two games by Major League Soccer. Segares struck Los Angeles defender Leonardo during an off-the-ball incident in Saturday's 1-1 tie. Segares was ejected, and MLS' disciplinary committee decided Tuesday to double his penalty from an automatic one-game suspension and $250 fine.

September 9, 2010Major League Soccer has matches on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday of this week. The Chicago Fire host Toronto FC to get things kicked off followed by a match between Real Salt Lake and the Seattle Sounders on ESPN2 on Thursday and capped off with New England Revolution at Chivas USA and that only gets things started before the weekend action.
